Traditions: Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum - Part 1

Documentaries

For over 50 years The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum has been preserving the the rich heritage of the Bay. In our first part of a two part series, we take a look at how the museum preserves the unique boat building techniques developed over the centuries by local watermen.

Portraits from the minds of Greg Bowen and his subjects

I just got back from my honeymoon to find Greg on a full throttle portrait photography kick. Each image is a collaboration between him and his subjects. Think of it more like a visual conversation than a presentation of work.

All photos taken and edited by Greg Bowen with set and makeup assistance by Amanda Boutwell. More to be added as they are created.

We do food photography!

Last year I fell in love with a woman who just so happened to be a phenomenal cook, so I asked her to marry me. It's not the only reason I asked her, but it sure did quickly become one of the things I appreciate most about her. As I began to eat better, I began to appreciate food more.

Then, last week I was talking to someone who brought it to my attention that we don't have any food photography in our portfolio. Well, I am happy to say that we've fixed the problem.

After a trip to WegmansPâtisserie Poupon and with some extra special help from Dave Cavalier and the kitchen staff Birroteca We've managed to put the following gallery together.

Take The Credit

Recently, we had the great privilege of working with the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition on an awareness campaign for the Maryland Home Owners Tax Credit.  Don't be surprised if you haven't heard of it before, but definitely check it out and share our video with anyone you think might benefit.

Basically, if you own your home and your combined household income is less than $60,000 a year, there is a good chance that you qualify for the homeowners tax credit. For some people, this could mean the difference between loosing or keeping your home. Over time, this credit could add up to tens of thousands of dollars.

Special thanks goes out to all of the members of the Baltimore Rock Opera Society who worked on shoot.

If you haven't seen it yet, check out the PSA that we made for the Maryland Consumer Rights Coalition. This talent and crew on this job was pretty much entirely Human Being Productions and Baltimore Rock Opera Societymembers. Also, if you know any homeowners out there, make sure they check and see if they qualify for the credit.
